Hawkgirl is a DC Comics superheroine most often depicted as a winged warrior with ancient connections. There have been multiple versions of the character, but she is generally associated with Egyptian history and reincarnation.

The original Hawkgirl, Shiera Sanders Hall, first appeared in Flash Comics #1 (1940). She is often depicted as the reincarnation of the Egyptian priestess Chay-Ara, who alongside her lover Prince Khufu, were exposed to Nth metal, granting them powers and tying their souls together through reincarnation.

Hawkgirl possesses superhuman strength, enhanced durability, and the ability to fly using artificial wings powered by Nth metal. She is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant and weapons expert, particularly proficient with ancient weaponry, most often a mace.

She is frequently paired with Hawkman, either as romantic partners or partners in crime-fighting. They are members of the Justice Society of America and often appear together in various storylines across the DC Universe.
